SIM CARD SELF REGISTRATION UPDATES.

Update from Minister:

1. Self service registration will be ready on 2nd August 2022


2. 16m Ghanaians have registered for the Ghana Card


3. 15.7m cards issued and distributed


Next steps

1. Self service available on 2nd Aug @5GHS

2. Non residents can use passports - to be completed by Dec 2022

3. Ghanaians outside should contact NCA for support

4. Amputees - discussions with the NIA to resolve issues in this regard

5. Foreign nationals can acquire SIMs at the airport - SIMs valid for only 3 months

6. Deadline - extension till 30th Sept

7. Punitive measures to be announced in September 2022.
